New Admissions : FEAR and EXPECTATIONS !

People are getting the colleges, but still asking the question whether this college is good or bad, guys all colleges are good, now its your turn to make them good by your performance, try to make your college BEST, now you are the part of that and its only you which can make college good or bad.

I have/had friends in many colleges starting from IITs, NITS and many UPTU colleges, from those who work hard are settled in life, does not matter from which college they were . So now it is the time to forget the tension of the college name, it is time to make plans of the new life, new college, new people and lots more which is going to come in your way,

New sessions will be starting in few days. First day means meeting lots of new people who will be your classmates for the next 2/3/4 years and probably you will stay in touch with them for your whole life. College is different from the School, you can bunk classes or come to the College late. You can go out for a movie if you don't feel like attending classes or just hang out with your pals in the canteen.

If you ask me what is compulsory for an engineer, i will suggest that not study , seriously it is the environment, extra curricular activities and the attitude that i can clear the exam in 1 night study , makes a complete engineer Wink. A feature which u will only find in engineer is that he works mostly on deadlines  and give his/her best output in pressure. So guys be ready for that also.

Guys also think a bit about first day, ragging etc. Ragging is nothing new and strange, don't be afraid of it. Co-operate with your seniors and don't resist talking to them. They will probably become your best friends in college. Seniors will always guide you and help you through out your college life. Ask them about their experiences, take notes from them and don't be shy asking for books .

Try to explore new things as much as possible, participate in most of the activities and if your college does not have start some activity there.

ENJOY your college life and BEST of luck for your future.

15th august 1947

On 15 August 1947, India attained freedom from the British Rule. Every year, August 15 is celebrated as the Independence Day in India. This national festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country.

The Prime Minister's speech at the Red Fort in Delhi is a major highlight. Patriotic presentations by school children add colors to the celebrations.

The preparations begin a month in advance. Roads are decorated with flags and buntings. Buildings of national importance are illuminated
.

NATIONAL FLAG OF INDIA
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The national flag, a symbol of free India, is a horizontal tri-colour of saffron, white and green. The wheel in its centre, is a replica of the chakra, which appears on the abacus of Ashoka's pillar.
The flag was adopted on July 22,1947 and presented to the nation on August 15, 1947.

The color saffron, stands for courage, sacrifice and renunciation.

White, symbolizes truth and purity

"truth in our speech and purity of thought"

Green represents life, faith and chivalry.

The 24 spokes of the wheel are multiples of 8, representing the noble precepts of the Eight-Fold path, taught by the Buddha. The wheel itself denotes unceasing motion and progress.

Difference Between FAT32 & NTFS

FAT32 { File Allocation Table }

The File Allocation Table (FAT) file system is a simple file system originally designed for small disks and simple folder structures. The FAT file system is named for its method of organization, the file allocation table, which resides at the beginning of the volume. To protect the volume, two copies of the table are kept, in case one becomes damaged. In addition, the file allocation tables and the root folder must be stored in a fixed location so that the files needed to start the system can be correctly located.

A volume formatted with the FAT file system is allocated in clusters. The default cluster size is determined by the size of the volume. For the FAT file system, the cluster number must fit in 16 bits and must be a power of two.

FAT32 is a derivative of the File Allocation Table (FAT) file system that supports drives with over 2GB of storage. Because FAT32 drives can contain more than 65,526 clusters, smaller clusters are used than on large FAT16 drives. This method results in more efficient space allocation on the FAT32 drive.

The largest possible file for a FAT32 drive is 4GB minus 2 bytes.

The FAT32 file system includes four bytes per cluster within the file allocation table. Note that the high 4 bits of the 32-bit values in the FAT32 file allocation table are reserved and are not part of the cluster number.

HTML TUTORIALS

What is HTML anyway?Well, HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language and is the "secret code" that is used to create the look and layout of all the documents on the web. Why do I call it the secret code? Because everything on this web page is the result hidden instructions, called tags, that tell the web browser how to display the text, the images, the color, and such. Moreover, the web browser doesn't display the tags on the web page…so, that's why I call it the secret code.

Sound confusing? It might help for you to see an example of what HTML looks like with all those tags.

Look up on the browser window's toolbar, go under View, then click on Source. In a matter of seconds you will see all the hidden HTML tags for displaying the text and images you see here on this page. Or, just click on the button below and I'll take you behind the scenes to the HTML for this page. Oh, and keep an eye out for "less than" (<) and "greater than" (>) signs, because those are part of the instructions which your web browser reads and obeys.

Learning to write HTML is not hard to do. That's why you and I are here…to help you learn how to write HTML in order to make your web pages.

TOOLS AND RULES

Saving your document:

To write HTML, you will need a simple text editor. For Macintosh, I suggest using SimpleText, and for Windows, I suggest using Notepad or WordPad. You can however use a word processor program, such as Word or WordPerfect. But, if you do, then you must remember to save your files in the text format.

Viewing your document:
When you are ready to see your new web pages, all you have to do is double click on the filename and it will appear on your computer just like a web page. This way, you don't need to have space on a web service provider to start learning how to write HTML. However, when your ready to show off your hard work to the rest of the world, you will need to send your documents to a web server, such as Tripod, GeoCities, or Angelfir

TAGS

As you have learned, tags are the instructions that tell the web browser where to put things and how to make them look. Each tag begins with a left angle bracket ( < ) and end with a right angle bracket ( > ) Inbetween the angle brackets, place the tag name like this:That tag is called a starting tag, and usually each starting tag has a closing tag like this: .
Are you wondering what this pair of tags will tell your browser to do? It is pretty simple. The starting tag, , tells your Web browser that "Hey, here is the start of a file that contains HTML coded information." And the ending tag, , tells your Web browser that "Okay, here is the end of my HTML file."
There are many different tags that you can use to tell your browser what to do. Just remember that tags are always enclosed in angle brackets.

Did you ever realize ???

Did you ever realize that the letters, A B C D do not appear in the spellings of the numerical 1 to 99 !!
D appears first in Hundred.
A appears first in Thousand.
B appears first in Billion.
C appears first in Crore
Reason -
Everyone must wait for his turn and his share of success !!

There is nothing good or bad in this world

“There is nothing good or bad in this world, but our perceptions make it so. What people call ‘congestion’ in a train, becomes ‘atmosphere’ in a night club”.
“Do not be disappointed if the world refuses to help you out. Remember the words of Einstein - ‘I am thankful to all those that said NO. Its because of them that I did it myself’. “
“Have indomitable faith in your strengths. Then victory over weaknesses is an easy task.”
“Kind words can be soft, but their echoes can be truly endless.”

“Its Never Too Late, Go Catch Life !!!”

Time waits for none…. Each day go by and they are years, and the years passed finally become our whole life. Each daily portion of life can be cherished or can be wasted, before it comes to an end /gone forever. Each day we get up, rush for office & then come back home…& when we rest on bed we say the day was too stressed, too hectic, didn’t accomplish anything, it is just another lost piece of precious life. We are never happy / satisfied with what we have, its human tendency, one can’t help it, but the trouble is that it might never happen, or it may be too long in coming. It’s so important to accept this time, this very minute, as something of tremendous value that will very soon be gone forever.
There are many ways to ensure that we make the best of our time here on earth. We indulge are so much in our work that we ignore our family & friends and sometimes ignore ourselves …. What are we working for??? Have you ever realized …. In our daily life let’s include time to enjoy with family, friends & thus ourselves. This world is very beautiful…enjoy every moment of It before its gone forever. Be Happy & let others be happy
“Be happy while you’re living, for you’re a long time dead.” - Scottish Proverb
